Abstract: The parents perceive the existence of children with disabilities positively. Most parents accept a diagnosis of their child with a disability, and consider that having a disability is God’s will. Many parents feel that their extended family and society can accept the existence of children with disabilities; they also understand the special needs of their children and are optimistic about the future of children with disabilities. On the other hand, most of the respondents felt that they were failures as parents. Keywords: children with disability, parental perception.
